Blu-Ray Disk Players
The name Blu-ray Disc derives from the blue-violet laser used to read the disc. While a standard DVD uses a 650 nanometre red laser, Blu-ray uses a shorter wavelength, a 405 nm blue-violet laser, and allows for almost six times more data storage than on a DVD.
Super-high quality. See your favourite film or TV as you've never seen it before
The format was popularised with the advent of Sony's Playstation 3 games console. Blu-Ray discs offer far greater picture quality than standard DVDs, with up to 1080p resolution and 24p frames per second. Additionally, lossless high definition audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio are enabled on Blu-Ray discs.
The latest (and final) profile of Blu-Ray players has now been realised as BD Live (Profile 2.0), and many manufacturers are now shipping some fantastic new models built on this latest technology. BD Live players incorporate an internet connection enabling interactive online content, as well as 1GB of internal storage for content management and buffering.
Full Spectrum Integration supply a range of Blu-Ray disc players from Pioneer, Panasonic, Denon, Marantz, Sony and Onkyo.
